At Sletten, you will have the freedom and space to explore and experiment with your crafts. There is ample opportunity to build new craftspeople guilds, teach and share insights and ideas, and perhaps start bigger joint projects.
Craftspeople
There are no tourists for you to entertain, just actual reenactors that love the crafts, the knowledge and are eager to learn and help. This could be your new hub and annual meet for all viking age crafts people across Europe.
Blacksmiths, jewelers, weavers, dyers, clothiers, tailors, chefs, woodworkers, ropemakers,toymakers, brewers and many many more… Join us. This is for you, by you!

Why should I come?
- The nature, the people, the parties, the long talks around the fire, old friends and new.
- At Sletten you will find 1500+ reenactors that need and appreciate your skills, want to learn.
- And need your output, for their high quality and authenticity.
- Sletten will have reenactors from the whole world, from Colombia to Canada to New Zealand, and everywhere in between.
- At Sletten there is no expectation of entertainment or any other special costs for Craftspeople. You pay the same as everyone else.
- You decide what your week will be, want to work on a huge project, go! Want to relax with little fun crafts, yes! Just relax with your peers, absolutely! This is your week.
- There is room to spread out. You can set up your entire production site and your whole family. As long as you’re authentic. We generally use the same standards as you know from Ribe and Trelleborg.
- Sletten is ‘By Vikings, For Vikings’. That means craftspersons too! You’re just as important for the project as any fighter or merchant.
- We encourage you to form guilds of crafts, if you want. To share your skills, challenges, ideas and learn from others. Or anything else you like, Sletten is ours to shape!
How can I join?
If you havent already received an invitation, write us at sign-up@slettenvikings.dk. Feel free to send som pictures of your camp and crafts, so we can get an idea of what you want to do. We will send you a sign-up form or reach out if we need more information.
If anything else comes up, we’ll figure it out together.
If you’re part of a bigger group, sign up with them. They should have just gotten the invitation. If not, ask them to write us at sign-up@slettenvikings.dk.
