Another year, another eyesore!

First, while we have your pained attention: The deadline for group registration and sending us your total square metres is tonight at midnight. Still a few hours left to do your calculations! Individual tickets for reenactors are still available until May 1st as usual. Thank you!

Back to the scheduled content: Another April 1st, another eyesore. It has kinda turned into a tradition to have a look at what generative AI believes our hobby looks like. New this year? LADIES NOW EXIST. But we’re back to the horned helmets. People are still partying upside down.

We know it’s a bit of a paradox to use generative AI to poke fun at this kind of content, but it proves that we are very much in need of skilled photographers to accurately portray our hobby, lifestyle and work. The attention to detail, the handcraft, and the dedication you bring to Sletten, is something truly special.

We are incredibly thankful for the photographers who spend time photographing while they are reenacting, and who spend hours sorting and editing photos after they get home. We are also very thankful for everyone who allows us to photograph them. It helps share our passion, is wonderful for recruitment, and y’all look hella good in them.

(We also cannot hide the fact that these posts generate a lot of engagement, and that it helps to push our hidden message of “beware the deadliiiineeeee!!!”)
